Borca di Cadore
Situated at an altitude of 942 meters between Pieve di Cadore and Cortina d'Ampezzo, at a distance of 14 kms is Borca di Cadore a beautiful resort suitable for both summer and winter holidays.
It extends to the edge of a verdant valley in the Boite Valley, at the foot of two powerful and famous Dolomite peaks over 3000 meters high, Mount Pelmo, also called "Caregon or Throne of the Gods" and the Antelao, known as the "King of the Dolomites".
The sunny location allows you to take relaxing walks through the forests of fir and larch trees, flowering meadows and mountain huts, where you can taste the typical dishes of the dolomite.

Among the various summer touristic activities offered by Borca one that truly stands out is horse riding in the woods around the village and up to Rifugio Venezia, which is located in a beautiful meadow near the Pelmo.
Borca offers two paths for winter cross-country skiing in the hamlet of Villanova, a skating rink near the center of the country and lots of walks with snowshoes through the woods.
The Alpine skiers will find Borca a convenient base from which to reach the ski resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo, in which the place is linked by a convenient ski-bus service.
In addition to numerous hotels, apartments, bed and breakfasts and residences there is a harmonious holiday center with 260 detached houses in the surrounding environment.
Borca is a place rich in tradition, history and legends, such as those associated with the fairies "Sirens", mythical creatures that lived in the forests and near springs, streams or lakes.
Borca is also distinguished by the preservation of local Ladin traditions and the environment: it hosts a library of specialized '"Istituto Ladin de la Dolomites", the historic and well-stocked library, "La Scola" and the natural history museum "Olimpia Perini."
